Biography:
Kanan Jarrus is a Jedi Knight who survived Order 66 in the animated TV show Star Wars Rebels. First appearing in the show's pilot episode "Spark of Rebellion" (2014), he was formerly known as Caleb Dume, a Padawan learner training under Jedi Master Depa Billaba.
After the betrayal of the clone troopers, Caleb went into hiding and abandoned the ways of the Jedi to survive. He adopted the name Kanan Jarrus and became a smuggler and con artist, suppressing his connection to the Force.
Years later, Kanan joins the crew of the starship Ghost, led by Hera Syndulla, and reluctantly embraces his Jedi past as he begins training Ezra Bridger, a Force-sensitive teenager. He rediscovers his commitment to the Jedi Order's ideals and becomes a crucial leader in the growing rebellion against the Galactic Empire.
